Privacy Policy

What we collect

To generate your reading we collect: your first name, birth date, optional birth time, location/timezone (inferred from your browser), and a gender preference used for chart calculation.

When you opt in to unlock your full reading, sign up for daily fortunes, or complete a purchase, we collect your email address. This email is used to deliver your receipt, send the email content you signed up for, and recover any abandoned cart you started.

We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, device/operating system, and pages visited — used for analytics, abuse prevention, and fraud screening on payments.

If you make a purchase, Stripe collects and processes your payment method details directly. We never see or store full card numbers; we retain only Stripe transaction metadata (charge ID, amount, last 4 digits, country) for receipts, refunds, and tax records.

Third-party processors

We share data with the following processors strictly for the purposes listed:

  • Convex — primary database (US-hosted). Stores your reading record, email, and purchase history.
  • Vercel — web hosting and edge delivery. Receives request logs (IP, user-agent).
  • Stripe — payment processing and receipts.
  • Beehiiv — email delivery (newsletter, daily fortune, abandoned-cart). Receives email and first name only when you opt in.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (receipts, password flows). Receives email + transaction metadata only.
  • PostHog — product analytics. We may identify you to PostHog by email after you opt in, so we can attribute conversions across sessions.
  • Meta (Facebook Pixel + Conversions API) — ad measurement. We transmit a SHA-256 hashed copy of your email and event data after a purchase. Opt out anytime via Do Not Sell or Share.

How long we keep it (retention)

  • Anonymous reading data — auto-expires 30 days after creation.
  • Paid purchase records — retained for 7 years to satisfy US tax / receipts law (Stripe also keeps a parallel record).
  • Email subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics events — retained for 12 months in PostHog, then aggregated.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@sajukorea.site. We respond within 30 days. To unsubscribe from email, click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any message.

California residents (and anyone sending Global Privacy Control) can opt out of Meta sharing via Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies to maintain your reading session, and third-party cookies for analytics (PostHog) and ad measurement (Meta Pixel). Manage your preferences anytime via Cookie Preferences.

Age requirement

Saju is intended for adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, email support@sajukorea.site and we will delete it.
