Why we built Saju
Saju belongs in English. A 600-year-old Korean system of reading birth charts—more specific than astrology, more ancient than Western fortune telling, and used by Korean executives, matchmakers, and everyday people to understand their patterns. We built Saju so you wouldn't have to search fragmented Korean apps or watered-down translations.

In the meantime: this is a Korean-American founder who wanted Saju accessible to US readers without the watered-down translation. The readings are calculated from the same 600-year-old system. The app is the missing bridge.
How It's Calculated
Your reading is built from four pillars of your birth chart, each tied to the exact date and time you were born:

Derived from your birth year — represents your family legacy and early life pattern.

Your birth month — shows the season and elemental energy of your birth.

Day Pillar
Your birth day — your core personality and the way you move through the world.

Hour Pillar
The hour you were born — the most precise indicator of patterns you attract. This is why exact birth time matters.
Each pillar is calculated using the lunar calendar, the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water), and the 10 celestial stems + 12 earthly branches — a system formalized during Korea's Joseon dynasty (1400s) and still used today.
